Can you describe the career opportunity are you pursuing this summer?
This summer, I am interning as a part-time Chief Operating Officer (COO) at a Web3 startup based in Nigeria. We are striving to expand our footprint in the GameFi industry, not only in Nigeria but also in other African countries like Kenya. My role involves hosting and facilitating events at universities, collaborating with the student community, other Web3 startups, and companies such as Ajinomoto and Pocari. My primary responsibility is promoting the company's public profile, which I do by delivering speeches at conferences and negotiating partnerships with other Web3 startups in Nigeria. This internship is a fantastic opportunity for me to delve into my interest in the Web3 industry and gain insights into how startups grow and organize themselves in Africa.
What led you to this opportunity? What help did you receive from your peers, alumni, or CTD in your journey to this position?
My journey to this opportunity was very much influenced by conversations with my peers at Minerva.
