Executive Position

Chief Communications Officer (CCO)

The Chief Communications Officer (CCO) will serve as a key executive leader responsible for developing and executing comprehensive communication strategies that promote, enhance, and protect the university's brand reputation and will report directly to the CEO. This individual will lead a centralized team of marketing and communications professionals and coordinates communications produced by other academic and administrative units. The role will oversee public relations, including branding, marketing, thought leadership, media relations, crisis communications, and events, to ensure a coherent and impactful message across all platforms and stakeholders.

Finance Position

Senior Analyst/Manager, Finance

The Senior Analyst/Manager, Finance reports directly to the Chief Operating Officer and supports the University’s financial and strategic goals. This key hire has the opportunity to shape the financial analytics function at the institution while working closely with senior management on key strategic initiatives.

Operations Position

Senior Analyst/Manager, Data & Analytics

This newly created role of Senior Analyst/Manager, Data & Analytics reports directly to Minerva’s Chief Operating Officer and will have the opportunity to work on a breadth of analyses and projects across diverse teams including marketing and enrollment management, admissions, real estate planning, business development, and strategy. Data collection, analysis, and presentation of trends and findings will be a core component of this role. Candidates who will thrive in this role love numbers and Excel. They are quick learners but take the time to understand the nuances of each department and operating challenges. They are willing to roll up their sleeves and pull data from numerous operating systems themselves while also being able to synthesize data and create a visually appealing Powerpoint presentation with findings. Prior higher education experience is not required, though an appetite for learning certainly is.

Operations Position

Manager, Special Projects

The Special Projects Manager provides substantive, strategic, and administrative support to the COO. This role provides support to improve cross-department cohesion and effectiveness, manages routine and ad hoc special projects including quarterly Board meeting preparation and supports programmatic work.

Human Resources Position

Human Resources Manager

The Human Resources Manager, an HR generalist position, will assist the Chief Operating Officer in overseeing talent acquisition, career development, succession planning, training, retention, leadership development, and compensation and benefits administration. A key strategic project for this role will be the evaluation and implementation (working with the IT team) of a performance management system organization wide.

Lab Position

Psychology Lab Manager

The Minerva Psychology Lab is accepting applications for a full-time lab manager position to begin Summer 2024 (exact date negotiable) and continue for at least 12 months, with an annual pay of $50,000 plus benefits. The work will be mostly in San Francisco, but some time can be spent remotely, and the position may include international travel. The lab manager will be responsible for the general administrative functioning of the lab, collaborating on designing research, and supervising undergraduate research assistants. Some research assistants and research projects will be located internationally, because Minerva undergraduates complete a global rotation that starts in San Francisco and then includes multiple world cities such as Seoul, Taipei, Buenos Aires, Hyderabad, and Berlin. The lab has a focus on the psychology of music and mental health, and experience or interest in either of these topics is beneficial but not required. Developmental psychology and cross-cultural psychology are also relevant, especially experience with Lookit. Professors involved in the lab include Mark Sheskin, Katie McAllister, Randi Doyle and Geneva Stein. This position may be of particular interest to people planning to apply to research-focused PhD programs, and the level of involvement in research design, implementation, and write-up will be consistent with authorship on some publications.

Financial Analyst

The financial analyst will focus largely on financial aid and its components (loans, work study, scholarships) and will be based in the San Francisco Bay Area. This role will be a hybrid role, expected to be in office 2-3 days a week, and will report to the Finance Director. The analyst will also have the opportunity to work on a breadth of analyses and projects across diverse teams including marketing and enrollment management, and strategy. Data collection, analysis, and presentation of trends and findings will be a core component of this role. Candidates who will thrive in this role love numbers and Excel.
