Experienced fundraising leader to accelerate philanthropic growth and institutional impact
Minerva University has appointed Jamina Cole King as Executive Vice President of Advancement. In this senior leadership role, Cole King will lead the university’s fundraising, alumni relations, external partnerships, and marketing teams, driving philanthropic strategy, brand development, and resource growth to support Minerva’s ambitious mission.
Cole King brings nearly 20 years of experience advancing philanthropic revenue across education, healthcare, nonprofits, and the arts. Most recently, she served as Interim Vice President and Associate Vice President of Philanthropy at Morehouse School of Medicine (MSM), where she contributed to the successful closeout of MSM’s $500 million campaign, revamped fundraising strategy across contributed revenue streams, and championed advancement systems modernization.
At Minerva, Cole King will play a critical role in strengthening advancement and marketing operations, cultivating partnerships that enable access, innovation, and global impact, and accelerating Minerva’s growth domestically and abroad. She will collaborate closely with executive leadership to develop and execute fundraising and marketing strategies that align with Minerva’s vision to educate leaders who create positive change worldwide.

Cole King holds a certification as a Certified Fundraising Executive (CFRE), is a Fellow, Charitable Estate Planning (FCEP), and earned a Master of Sustainability Leadership from Arizona State University.
