Seabound, by Alisha Fredriksson and Roujia Wen Class of 2019, Alisha Fredriksson and Roujia Wen co-founded Seabound, a climate tech startup building carbon capture systems for the world’s largest cargo ships. Backed by Y Combinator and Lowercarbon Capital, both founders were named to the Forbes 30 Under 30 list.
Transcend Network, by Alberto Arenaza Class of 2019, Alberto Arenaza launched Transcend Network, a global incubator for early-stage founders reimagining learning and work. With $160M raised across its network of 188 founders in 40 countries, the impact is already multiplying.
Econverse, by Jan Bartkowiak, Matvii Kotolyk Class of 2025 and Hubert Pyskło Class of 2027, Founded by Jan Bartkowiak, Hubert Pyskło, and Matvii Kotolyk, Econverse is a nonprofit inspired by Minerva’s active learning model. With over 30 workshops and 1500+ student participants, mostly from small towns in Poland, the team recently won the Emerging Europe Award for Inclusive Entrepreneurship.
Wolu Chukwu, Class of 2022, Worked as a computational biologist at the Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard, Wolu built genomic algorithms to improve cancer diagnostics. Her cross-disciplinary training and lab experiences at Minerva shaped her work advancing patient-centered precision medicine.

Jiayuan Tian, Diana Award Recipient Class of 2025, Jiayuan received the Diana Award as the only recipient from Mainland China in 2024 for his impactful work in fostering educational equity and accessibility in the Chinese-speaking region.
Sophia Boler, Goldwater Scholar Class of 2026, Sophia earned her title as Minerva’s first-ever Goldwater Scholar thanks to her work exploring how ribosomal protein RACK1 affects the stress-response translation of the TXNIP gene at the RNA Institute at the University at Albany.
Brittany Dick, Rhodes Scholar Class of 2024, Minerva’s second Rhodes Scholar, Brittany, is pursuing a Master of Philosophy in the History of Science, Medicine, and Technology at Oxford, continuing her work to bring indigenous perspectives to global conversations.
Gal Rubin, Rhodes Scholar Class of 2023Gal is studying International Health and Tropical Medicine at Oxford and has published research on maternal health drawn from her fieldwork across Minerva’s global city rotations.
Jan Bartkowiak, Schwarzman Scholar Class of 2025, Minerva’s second Schwarzman Scholar, Jan, is studying Global Affairs at Tsinghua University after building award-winning AI & tech education and entrepreneurship projects during his time at Minerva.
