Global immersion

Most students spend up to four years on one campus. At Minerva, you’ll live and learn across four continents.

Minerva’s mission is to prepare students to solve the world’s most complex challenges and global immersion is how we bring that mission to life. By learning through the world, you build the mindset and skills to lead change locally and globally.

Each year, you’ll call a different global city home, not as a tourist, but as a collaborator, problem-solver, and community member. From San Francisco to Tokyo, your surroundings become your classroom, and the challenges you face shape your ability to lead in a complex world.

The global rotation isn’t separate from academics—it fuels it.

In each city, you’ll explore how culture, policy, history, and economy intersect. You’ll see problems firsthand and apply what you’re learning in real time.

Rotation activities are designed to connect you with your surroundings through:

Location-Based Assignments

Analyze tech policy in Tokyo, investigate transitional justice in Buenos Aires, or redesign urban infrastructure in Berlin.

Civic Projects

Collaborate with renowned companies, nonprofits, government agencies, and startups tackling urgent local issues.

Global Labs

Dive into project-based learning that challenges you to design, test, and iterate solutions with real-world stakeholders.

Oh, the places you'll go.

Over four years, you’ll live on four continents, each offering distinct opportunities to grow:

Reflections from the Journey

“My field of interest was sociology, and Minerva’s global rotation seemed like the perfect way to study social sciences and the connections between cultures and communities.”

“Being at Minerva has meant dealing with tough challenges of many shapes, managing intense academics, figuring out visas multiple times a year, looking for new opportunities, and trying to not lose your footing as you keep moving to new countries. These challenges have grown me into a very versatile person with a lot of endurance for change.”
Gabriel Nilsson,
Class of 2025,

“I always say this, but the kind of people that Minerva is producing are needed in this world. I think Minerva helped me stand out in this regard, having experienced its global rotation program. I have had fascinating cross-cultural conversations and enlightening exchanges of ideas.”
Xiao Chen,

"[At Minerva] We not only travel the world but we live with the world. The events we hear about on the news no longer fly by our ears because we know people from those countries who are directly impacted. We now understand the magnitude. The news becomes personal. We are living with the world."
Cynthia Peng,
Class of 2025,
Canada
“Minerva’s global rotation–constantly moving between cities and learning to adjust to new environments–has made me more than comfortable with change. I have become more open to it, recognizing that discomfort and uncertainty are essential drivers of my growth.”
