SAN FRANCISCO — Dec. 18, 2025 – Minerva University today announced that student housing will move from Turk Street to a newly leased residence at 2550 Van Ness Ave., with the transition scheduled to be completed before the start of the next academic term. The new space puts students in the heart of the city, reinforcing Minerva’s belief that the city itself is a classroom.
“This move creates a home that inspires students to explore, connect and grow,” said Minerva University President Mike Magee. “San Francisco offers daily opportunities to test ideas, build skills and engage directly with the world around them.”
Situated near the Marina waterfront and Polk Street corridor, the Van Ness Avenue residence offers access to major transit lines, commercial districts and nearby parks, including scenic views of the Golden Gate Bridge. Its central location allows students to participate seamlessly in academic programming, internships and community initiatives throughout the city.
The residence includes modern rooms, updated common areas and an on-site pool, all designed to foster both connection and relaxation. Shared spaces, including a library, study areas, student center, game room and outdoor lounges, encourage focused work and social connection, while the industrial kitchen and dining facilities accommodate communal meals and student gatherings.
Students will continue partnering with San Francisco nonprofits through tutoring, mentorship and service programs, deepening their engagement with the city and putting Minerva’s experiential learning model into practice.

The move aligns with Minerva’s global educational model, in which students live and study across four continents over four years. Students will begin the upcoming term in the new residence.
