Tell us a bit about yourself. What's your current role, and what led you to pursue a graduate degree at this point in your career?
I am currently working as an AI Engineer, part of the AI Transformation Team at SK Biopharmaceuticals, South Korea.
In the AI era, technologies change rapidly, but I think the most important thing for all is decision-making regardless of technology. For this reason, I hope to earn a graduate degree to increase the ability to help people and organizations make better decisions for creating real value of their life-cycle with technologies.
Why did you choose Minerva's MDA program? What stood out compared to the other options you were considering?
I believe that helping individuals and organizations make better decisions is a good way to do good for all, and I am confident that the Minerva MDA program will empower me to achieve this. This is because I believe Minerva’s curriculum will provide me with a solid foundation to improve my own decision-making skills. With this strong foundation, I will be able to create much greater value.
In addition, although my individual abilities and resources may be limited, I believe that we can make a larger impact through collaboration within a global network. This drives my need for an education free from spatial constraints—one that connects me with global peers like those at Minerva’s MDA program.
What professional or global challenge are you most passionate about solving, and how do you hope the MDA will help you make a bigger impact?
I am passionate about solving conflicts caused by differences. Conflicts naturally arise between diverse groups, whether they stem from generation, gender, wealth disparity or geopolitical issues.
I want to address these problems, by rationally demonstrating to people why collaboration and unity lead to better, more effective decision-making. Ultimately, I hope to leverage these insights to support decision-making processes that contribute to the peaceful reunification of South and North Korea.
Which part of the program are you most looking forward to? This could be the curriculum, the faculty, the global cohort, the flexible format, or anything else.
The parts of the program I am most looking forward to are its decision-making curriculum and the global cohort.
Decision-making is at the heart of the MDA. Why do you think strong decision-making skills matter more and more for today's leaders?
The world is changing rapidly, especially with the exponential rise of AI technology.
In this environment, concerns over the reliability and trustworthiness of AI-generated outcomes are continuously increasing.
Among this flood of information and new technologies, leaders must create real value through reliable and trustworthy decision-making. Therefore, I believe that strong decision-making skills are not just an advantage, but a critical and increasingly vital capability for leaders both today and in the future.
Looking ahead, where do you hope this degree takes you? What impact do you want to make after graduating?
After graduation, I hope this degree leads me to a role where I can create positive value for the world through rational and trustworthy decision-making. Beyond my own career, I want to become a leader who empowers those around me—helping both individuals and organizations make decisions that maximize their own inherent value and potential.
